Cracking the Code: Container Searches

Two Paws Up Dog Training, LLC is proud to host Silke Wittig, BA, CPDT-KSA, ACDBC, CNWI presenting a seminar on container searches for Nose Work Teams. Silke is a Certified Nose Work Instructor, a Certifying Official for NACSW trials and ORTs as well as an ORT Judge,. Silke is also a Trial Approval Coordinator. and brings with her many years as a nose work competitor, instructor, and amazing insight into how to be your dog’s best partner!

Workshop Description:
Containers are one of the most commonly missed elements in nose work—and often the most misunderstood. This workshop is designed to help teams of all levels sharpen their container search skills with confidence.

Appropriate for dogs already on odor, this workshop focuses on building clear problem-solving for the dog and improving timing, handling, and observation skills for the human. Teams will learn how odor behaves around containers, how to recognize subtle changes in the dog, and when to trust the dog versus when handling may be influencing the search.

Whether you’re new to container searches or looking to clean up missed hides and lingering doubt, this workshop will help you and your dog work containers with more clarity, confidence, and consistency.

Working Spots (Must attend both Saturday and Sunday workshops) - $400.00 (LIMITED TO 8 TEAMS)

Auditing Spots- $150.00 for both workshops or $100.00 for single day.

Holly Bushard Workshop - Nose Work Games

Join us for THREE amazing days of incredible nose work games presented by Holly Bushard, AKC & NACSW Judge! Holly’s ability to read dogs and handlers makes attending her workshops a great investment in teamwork! This immersive three-day Nose Work Games workshop is designed to deepen your dog’s love of searching while sharpening both canine and handler skills. Through a variety of engaging, game-based searches, dogs will build drive, confidence, and problem-solving abilities in a fun, low-pressure environment.

Handlers will focus on developing effective leash handling and body positioning, improving observation skills, and learning how to read their dog’s behavior during a search. Special attention is given to understanding when to trust the dog to work independently—and when it’s appropriate for the handler to temporarily step in and guide the search forward.

Perfect for teams looking to strengthen their partnership, refine search strategy, and add creativity and enthusiasm to their nose work training.

Working Spots - $400.00 for all three days or $150.00 for each single day. Working spots are limited to 12 teams. WORKING SPOTS ARE FULL - ACCEPTING WAIT LIST

Auditing Spots - $175.00 for all three days or $65.00 per day.
